The following has spoilers for today’s Flickle.

A disoriented man is removed from a convenience store. A young girl stands worried outside a house while old police cars peel in. There is a glimpse of someone in a basement, metallic clangs just outside the door. Two preteens part ways on their walk home. Another shot of the basement – this time we see the same boy as in the previous clip shining a torch onto a wall with a black cord phone. In the final clip, a man in a devil mask opens the basement door, delivering the scared boy breakfast.

The Black Phone (2021)

The Black Phone is a supernatural horror film directed by Scott Derrickson. It follows the experience of Finney (Mason Thames) – a young boy, who, after being abducted by serial killer The Grabber (Ethan Hawke) begins to receive phone calls from previous victims of the killer on a disconnected phone in the basement he’s being held in.

Flickle is a web game in which you must try and guess the film over the day through five second snippets. This week Flickle has transformed into “Spookle” and each film until October 31 is from the horror genre.
